The Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG is the most powerful member of the GL Class. For the first time for an SUV Mercedes GL-Class appeared charged modification of AMG. The German automaker has officially introduced the new Mercedes GL63 AMG 2013 model year, sales of which will start in late 2012.

It has a 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 557 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (limited electronically).The average consumption is 12.3 l/100 km. It’s faster than a G 63 AMG with 544 hp and a Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged with 510 hp but is little slower than a BMW X5 M with 555-hp and Porsche Cayenne Turbo developing 500 hp.

In addition, this model is equipped with off-road upgraded brakes, electromechanical power steering, a new stabilization system, as well as active suspension with ride Control which has three modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. Along with the manual and sport mode, the system uses “Start / Stop” switch which control response by pressing the accelerator pedal maintaing better fuel economy. The GL 63 AMG carries a seven-speed automatic gearbox with a torque converter.

The GL 63 Class AMG version is distinguished from other models by certain exterior and interior details. There are slight difference in bumpers, grille, exhaust and wheel arches. This model comes standard with special design alloy wheel 295/40 R21 tires. The brake system consists of about 390 mm drilled discs on the front axle and 345 millimeters at the rear. Standard equipment includes items such as xenon headlights for short and long distance visibility, three-zone climate control, a system that detects driver fatigue (ATTENTION ASSIST), adaptive lighting (ILS), a device that can slow the car to avoid a collision (COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST) and another that acts on the brakes to compensate the lateral wind (Crosswind Assist), a semi-automatic parking system (Active Parking Assist) and a system that provides access to seats in the last row (EASY-ENTRY).

Optional one can choose from a set of cameras that give an overview of the entire body, alert involuntary change lanes (Active Lane Keeping Assist), detection of objects in the blind spot (Blind Spot Assist) and a surround sound system from Bang & Olufsen. In addition, Mercedes-Benz offers the possibility of increasing the equipment with unique elements of the AMG Performance Studio. There is an optional package “Designo exclusive” with leather upholstery designated for the seats, dashboard, inside of the doors and front center armrest.

Chrysler has announced price for its newest sedan Dodge Dart for the U.S. market. The sporty sedan starts at U.S. $ 15,995, excluding shipping charges of $ 795. It will be available in Base, SXT, Rallye, Limited and R / T trims. Chrysler will offer two engine choices for Dodge Dart 2013, it will be available with a 2.0 liter Tigershark engine that produces 160 bhp and 148 lb-ft of Torque and 1.4 liter MultiAir four-pot turbo charged engine developing 160 bhp and 184 lb-ft of torque.

Base version will be equipped with 2.0 liter tigeshark engine and will come with six-speed manual or six-speed automatic and standard ten passenger airbags. Pricing for manual starts at U.S. $ 15,995.

The 2013 dodge dart Rallye version will be equipped with all goodies of SXT along with custom bumpers, leather steering wheel, headlights with black mask and dual exhaust. It is priced at U.S. $ 18,995(excluding destination and shipping charges).

The Dodge Dart 2013 Limited costs $ 19,995(excluding destination and shipping charges) and includes chrome accents, multimedia system / navigation with 8.4 inch screen and digital instrument panel.

Finally, the R/T version will cost U.S. $ 22,995(excluding destination and shipping charges). As this is a sporty trim offered by Dodge, it will be equipped will 2.4 liter engine with 184 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. It will offer front bumper with spoiler, sport suspension, 18 inch alloy wheels, Nappa leather seats with heating and dual zone air conditioning.
