Sebastian Vettel wins Bahrain Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel claims his first race of the 2012 F1 season after winning Bahrain GP ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. Lotus team has delivered amazing results as Kimi and his team mate Romain Grosjean came at second and third position. Mark Webber came fourth and previous race champion Nico Rosberg came fifth starting from same position on the grid.

Another impressive finish was by the Force India driver Paul di Resta who finished at sixth position. Force India use a two pit stop strategy for Paul. Fernando Alonso finished at seventh place. Lewis Hamilton finished at Eight place starting from P2 at grid due to bad pit stops. It was a bad day for Mclaren as Jensen Button retired due to engine failure. Felipe Massa at ninth position scored first two points of 2012 F1 season followed by Michael Schumacher at tenth place with one point.

Fastest lap of the race was produced by Sebastian Vettel at 1’36.379.

BAHRAIN GP – Sebastian Vettel is back with P1

Sebastian Vettel is back as he claims P1 at 2012, Bahrain Grand Prix. This is first pole of the season for two time world champion. Lewis Hamilton came second followed by Mark Webber in third and Jenson Button in fourth and last race champion Nico Rosberg in fifth position.

Michael Schumacher was a victim of system failure which did not allow him to show good results and will start from Eighteenth position. Surprise came from Australian Daniel Ricardo who claims respectable sixth place ahead of Roman Grosjean, Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso in seventh,eighth and ninth place respectively.

Nico Rosberg claims victory at chinese Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg won chinese GP after claiming pole position on 14th april,2012. This is first victory for Mercedes since 1955 at Monza by legendry F1 driver Juan Manuel Fangio. Nico was able to finish 20 seconds ahead of the competition. The remaining places on the podium is divided between McLaren drivers – Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. For the latter, the current third place in this season is the third in a row, but it is possible for him to take the lead in the championship.

The race took place on dry pavement, and at the start there were no serious incidents. It was interesting to watch the Sauber team. Hoping for an economical consumption tires, Swiss team planned to stay longer on track and less in pits. But this time, this tactic did not work. Kamui Kobayashi at the start with a fourth place finish tenth, Sergio Perez – finished eleventh (starting from eighth position).

Kimi Raikkonen started well and maintained second position for first ten laps. However, he lost significant time due to dirt on track which caused loss of speed. He managed to finish at fourteenth place. Rest of the race results can be seen below.

Chinese GP – Nico Rosberg takes F1 pole

Nico Rosberg claimed his first ever pole position at Chinese GP. The german was furious as he was half a second faster at 1:35.121 than second driver on pole, Lewis Hamilton. Michael Schumacher managed third position but due to a gearbox penalty Lewis Hamilton will start from third position making Mercedes duo as front runners. This is also first pole position for Mercedes since 1955. This achievement is possible as a result of Mercedes innovative front wing design. Kimi Raikonnen managed fifth pole position followed by Jensen Button and Mark Webber at sixth and seventh position respectively. Current world champion Sebastian Vettel will start from Eleventh position.
